46!!! It's a record!
Earlier this year Matthew Richter of the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture conducted a census of cultural space in Seattle: Galleries, theaters, rehearsal halls --all the rooms and buildings and nooks and crannies where are was being made and shown and presented.
Well, the back lot of Rigsby Studios (AKA Scot Augustson's Pod) stepped up and got counted. And at the end of the day it was indeed the li'l-est cultural space on the manifest.
A whopping 46 square feet is where the magic was made (Don't worry, that isn't the whole pod, just the 2/3 used to create the puppets and write the script.)
So, we salute all the writers whose bedrooms are also their offices, the artists who paint in the garage and the musicians who rehearse in the basement!
