Keri here. Last weekend was the opening of GENTLEMAN DESPERADO at the Mary Olson Farm in Auburn. Saturday's two shows went great - we had fun, ran around, fake-shot fake guns, and jumped over hay bales in the sunshine. But then Sunday came. And the rain poured down. And our many weeks of work seemed about to lead to disappointment. But then, surprise surprise, people still showed up! So we did a quickie reblocking of the show inside the beautiful old barn on the farm site and and - by golly - we did us a play IN A BARN! It was magical, really, with the low amber lights inside the barn, the bench and hay bale seating, and the rain pattering against the wooden walls and roof. While the cast and I are sure hoping for sunshine next weekend, we won't mind it at all if the storms come again. We're ready. (Come check us out. And bring a lap blanket!)
