Keri here. Does everyone really have that one friend that you just can't shake, let go off, pawn off, drop, forget about, etc.? I feel like about half the things I've been watching or reading lately rely on the "bad friend" as a central device manipulating the choices of the protagonist. And the stories haven't all been about folks in their teens or twenties (which seems more understandable to me). I'm finding this trope more annoying than effective these days, but I'm wondering how others feel. What sort of bad behavior are you still putting up with from that longtime childhood friend?
